I know, I know, I missed Lynx, or Flock, or CoOlbroWZer v2.34. Tell me all about it… what is YOUR favorite?

A few things I wish Flock would implement soon:
Enough for now, back to work.
Update (January 24th, 9:07pm): You can have Speed Dial set up to show up on new tabs, do the following:

Bingo!
Hi Intergang-
So Day 3 of Flock v Opera. Lots of good for Flock:
On the Opera side:
I’d have to say Flock is in the lead at this point, and I will start using Flock as my primary browser (with Opera as my secondary) for a little while to continue vetting them.
Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? Opera zealots, perhaps? Maybe I just don’t know how good I have it with Opera?

Hi Interweb-
So I downloaded Flock v1.0.5 today, and have been tooling around in it for a few hours today. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert (is it Flockstar?), but I can say that for those folks who are moderate to heavy users of social networking tools, this browser is a big time saver.
The People Sidebar and Media Bar are really cool. You can configure them to look into your Facebook, Twitter, Flick, etc profile, and grab latest updates from there. The People Sidebar will show you your friends and what they are doing (I wish there were a way to have people only listed once in the “All” view), and any actions allowable via API can be performed right from the sidebar (ex/ Facebook “poke” or “message”). The Media bar shows a cool iPhone-esque scrolling set of images from Flickr, Photobucket, etc.

There is a nice-looking Feeds Sidebar, which when activated lays on top of the People Sidebar. It shows all feeds with new entries, and lets you click “All Articles” to see all new items in the main pane of the browser.

Hi everyone. I’ve decided to try out a new browser. Since Netscape Navigator is going out of business, I need to move off or face EOL on support. I’m running Mac OS 10.3.9, so I’m not going to try out Internet Explorer. Firefox 2.0.0.x has always been slow and heavy to me, so I’m a little turned off. Firefox 3 sounds promising but its still in Beta. Maybe when it is released.

For some reason, Flock doesn’t work on OS X 10.3.9. Not sure why. Safari is a good choice, certainly, for the most part. I’ve had a lot of crashing problems on Safari though, maybe I just have bad luck.

I tried installing Flock 1.0 (which is actually Flock 1.0 RC3), and had some problems. I sent feedback to Flock, hoping to get a response:
I installed Flock 1.0 RC3 on a PowerMac G5 running Mac OS X Server 10.3.9. Previously, I had installed Flock v0.9.
Install appeared to complete cleanly. I went to start Flock, and it imported settings from somewhere (not sure where – it didn’t ask my permission to do so), and then promptly crashed.
I tried running it again, and it just crashed. I then looked at your FAQ, and deleted my search history file. Not sure why I had to do this… if there was corruption, why not simply remove the search history folder?
After deleting my search history file, I tried running it again, and got a dialog box saying I already had a copy of Flock running on my system. Except I don’t. I checked my running processes, and don’t see /Flock/i anywhere.
So, in short, can you improve upon your install/config/startup user experience? I am going to reboot my Mac server now in the hopes that this state will be cleared… not sure of the chances for success.
