There isn’t a good OpenID WP plugin out there?

I’m really surprised by this… shocked even. None of the 5 plugins I downloaded and tried off Wordpress.org worked for me. All had long installation processes that by the end of them I had added my name to someone’s e-mail database 
, mucked around with paths, edited comments.php, and all sorts of other things. Never did I feel close to getting it right… why is this so hard?
