KidWonder had a great first Christmas, at home with MomWonder, his Grandma and I. He woke up around 7:30am, and devoured his morning bottle. He came downstairs and started to open presents from his stocking and from under the tree. By 9:30am he was all tuckered out :-), and went down for a nap. By 11:30 he woke up from his nap, and opened some more presents. Here he is playing with one of his gifts, a neat set of bongos:
After a lunch break, KidWonder, MomWonder and I started a video chat with my family in Massachusetts. We opened our gifts and they opened theirs. Much fun and laughing was had by all… and I got a cool pair of moccasins. ![]()
KW started playing with more of his toys as we started preparing for dinner. Well, MW again outdid herself for dinner, while I cleaned and did laundry, trying to be useful. Here is KW with his Grandma, playing with a toy reindeer that, when you press the paw, plays “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer”:
MW’s cool Uncle came to share Christmas dinner with us, and the spread was fantastic, a ham, chicken, stuffing, sweet potatoes, red velvet cupcakes and Christmas cookies. I’m full just thinking about it.
KW didn’t get to eat the ham or chicken, although, he did get to partake in some awesome sweet potatoes. I’m not sure if he actually ate any… you be the judge:
A great time was had by all. Thanks to both sides of our great family for all of the wonderful gifts for the baby! He has some cool winter and spring clothes now. And a special thanks to MomWonder, who cooked a great feast.
