Here’s what I saw when getting on a New Haven line Metro North train last night headed towards Stamford:

The significant delays (of one hour or more) that you experienced during this morning’s commute resulted from a train’s pantograph getting caught in the overhead catenary wire at a major track crossing in Bridgeport at approximately 6:00 AM.
Wait, the whosawhatsa got caught in the whichthingamabob? Seriously? From Dictionary.com, a pantograph is “a device usually consisting of two parallel, hinged, double-diamond frames, for transferring current from an overhead wire to a vehicle, as a trolley car or electric locomotive.”.
I mean, sure, if you say so. But I think you are missing the point MTA. You explain the cause of a delay by explaining the delay in a manner that your ridership will understand. Even a picture with an arrow pointing to said pantograph would have been helpful.
