My Mom and Dad stayed with MomWonder and I for the past week to help with Baby Drapeau. They were so helpful, cleaning, washing dishes, cooking, feeding and changing. I’m not much for traditions, but the idea that the new grandparents stay with the new parents for a week or two after the birth is a tradition I would like to continue. It is so practical.

I know that most of the time the grandparents stay just in case the new parents are completely lost, and some may stay to see their child’s face when the duties of parenthood fall short of being fun and glamorous.

I had a great week hanging out with them, hearing stories about my sisters and I from when we were KidWonder’s age. And now we’re all exhausted from all of the activity, and now (shudder) its just us… stay tuned to see how it goes.
