likemind is a group that meets in several major world cities on a monthly basis. You meet for coffee at a local coffee shop (in NYC the latest meeting was at sNice, 45 8th Avenue), and share conversation with “likemind”-ed folks.

The group was recommended to me by Alex, and since Alex and I both work in the internet space, I thought the group would be largely in the same industry. Not so. I spent an invigorating hour chatting with a former owner of an advertising firm and an interior designer. It was great conversation, zero pretense, and I hate advertisers! We all wore name tags, but other than that, no group organization, just plain talk. I loved it, and will go again.
