
So here I am, jumping on the latest Web 2.x bandwagon. I feel a little dirty.
So twitter is basically an enormous, persistent web-based cross between online bulletin board and group chat. People “twitter” about whatever, but don’t necessarily talk back and forth too much. You can write a post while logged into the site, configure your twitter account to allow posting via AIM, or twitterific if you have Mac OS >= 10.4. Once I upgrade my PowerMac to 10.5 (skipped 10.4, Mac OS X Server is too expensive to buy all of the minor releases) I may try that out.
They are a bit lagging with API, but its interesting, I guess. I tend to syndicate a lot of things in my right sidebar, but the twitter syndications are a bit big for me. I’ll post it in this post body, though, so you can see:
