So I took the morning off while Danielle went to the British Museum. I did catch The Daily Show, Global Edition which was funny and welcome since I didn’t realize that a) we got CNN, and b) didn’t realize that they show Comedy Central at times on CNN.
In the afternoon we walked to Northwest London past Regent’s Park to St. John’s Wood, home of Lord’s Cricket Ground. It was nice, huge stadium, but very closed. Even the Lord’s Cricket Shop was closed.
Then we went to Abbey Road and saw many many people taking pictures of the zebra crossing outside of Abbey Road Studios. I took a picture of the zebra crossing, didn’t have the heart to have one taken while walking it.
On the way back we stopped in for a reflexology massage, all in a hard day’s work.
Then walked along Baker Street and visited many Sherlock Holmes museums and shops, as well as a Beatles shop. We decided, at the last minute, not to get the Yellow Submarine lunch box. Attractive, but luggage space is at a premium.
Now we’re back lounging at the hotel, after a nice Sunday afternoon.
P.S. We saw a pub on the map called Ye Old Cock Tavern. It has become a mission of mine to secure a picture of said tavern before we leave. I will inform all on our progress. That is all.
