Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace

So today we started off the day taking the Underground to Victoria Station and waded through the hordes for a view of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. It was mobbed. Lots and lots (or as the Brits would say, loads and loads) of people. Understandably so, because the ceremony takes less than 15 minutes to happen, so its like what the crowd would be at Westminster Abbey if you only got to go in 15 minutes a day. I got some pictures but I doubt I got any without someone’s head in front of the camera. :)

Then we took the Underground to Kew Gardens and spent some of the afternoon in the Botanical Gardens. It was really beatiful, and plus, there was an outdoor concert at the Diaspora London Music Village inside the park. Kinda nice, we heard some Irish jig music.

Then stopped off on the way back at a Virgin Megastore to pick up CD’s that aren’t available in the US.

Now just relaxing and am about to go see if we can see some Wimbledon highlights from yesterday.
