So this was my first day being awake all day in Dublin. I had the “traditional Irish breakfast”, a fried egg, 2 pieces of bacon, and 2 sausages. Healthy healthy… its a wonder more people don’t seize up and have a heart attack at breakfast. :)

I saw Trinity College, and the Book of Kells, which is a very very old copy of the Gospels of the New Testament. Then I saw the part of the Trinity College library for all of the other old books. It was nice… I envision my dream house having a library the size of that wing.

Then I went to the National Museum, which had lots of Viking stuff and pieces from medieval Ireland.

I also visited the National Gallery, which is in a different building but has all of the paintings. It was a bit small, but nice, and free (which was great!)

I got Sammy a rugby shirt of one of the Irish pro rugby teams, I bet he’ll love it.

I spent some more time at the Tourist office this morning, they are great. I’ve decided to go public transportation for the whole trip, and Thursday I’m pretty sure I’m off to Limerick. From there I will try to catch a Gaelic football game in Thurles, and then off to Killarney and Cork.

Next week I’ll go north to Donegal and Clonmany, as Aunt Catherine suggested.

Then most likely off to Northern Ireland, stopping finally at Belfast. From Belfast there is a ferry to Liverpool, and then to London.

Of course, that’s the plan. Subject to change. :)

I love you all. It rains everyday here but I love it. The people are wonderful. I wish you were here.
